Why do you get up every morning?

Kathrin Justen

I was recently in a conversation with a job applicant, and he asked me an interesting question: "Considering your work at digital dna: Why do you get up every morning?"

Despite working across Germany, we're a team. This also means that if I need support, there's always someone there, whether it's for sparring or to take on a specific task. Generally, we always take on tasks outside our core roles as well. This allows us to collaborate with different colleagues from time to time. I really enjoy this collaborative search for solutions. And last but not least, the personal aspect: We cultivate a fantastic, collegial culture where we get together not only professionally, but also casually, whether for dinner, sports sessions, or even workations.

In this role, I've found a fantastic combination of diverse tasks with tangible impact, a work model that suits me and my family situation, and the opportunity to collaborate with a great team. So, if you're looking for an environment where active participation is more than just encouraged, where independent work is the norm, and where collegial exchange within flat hierarchies is the norm, then you've come to the right place.
