Webshop migration & program management for international growth

OCEANSAPART commissioned digital dna to migrate its online shop from WooCommerce to Shopify, as well as to manage the associated system and organizational processes. The goal was a more stable platform, faster feature implementation, and greater control over operational processes in e-commerce.

The challenge

The existing shop and system landscape was prone to instability and offered little flexibility for further development. At the same time, a warehouse migration and other technical projects were running concurrently, requiring careful orchestration due to their interdependencies. digital dna stepped in to consolidate this complexity, reduce risks, and make the projects manageable together.

Our solution

digital dna conducted an intensive discovery phase to understand requirements, system landscape, and dependencies. Based on this, a program setup was designed, a dedicated team was assembled, and a clear project plan was developed. Iterative work was carried out in cross-functional meetings, risks were addressed, and new middleware for connecting the systems was developed. In parallel, the webshop was built and tested using agile sprints and finally launched gradually – first a pilot launch, followed by the complete rollout.

Holistic program and project management including successful shop migration

We delivered a structured program setup, a well-thought-out risk and dependency management plan, and the operational implementation of the shop migration, including middleware integration. The solution ensures that development and operational processes along the entire value chain are efficient, transparent, and controllable.

The collaboration with digital dna was exactly as we had hoped. Whenever we needed support from other teams, Franziska made sure someone was available… The commitment and expertise of the entire digital dna team were clearly evident.
